What the Federal Reserve, FDIC and Treasury has done is not a corporate taxpayer bailout. The banks' equity and bondholders are being allowed to fail and only depositors are being protected. We believe this is the catalyst, which is likely to begin a recession, as the fallout of contracting regional banks is felt throughout the economy. Watch as the 10-year minus 2-year yield spread begins to steepen.
